KeyWatcher Illuminated
The KeyWatcher Illuminated gives your facility complete, auditable control over every key.
The KeyWatcher Illuminated is a hardened, keypad-operated electronic key cabinet built for exactly those situations. It logs every key transaction with a full timestamp and user record, supports up to 2,000 assignable PIN codes, and runs on standard AC power with a 48-hour battery backup if the power goes out. Hoffman Security Solutions has been installing and servicing Morse Watchmans systems for more than 30 years. We configure each system to your facility before it goes live and stay on-site through the life of it.
The KeyWatcher Illuminated is a modular electronic key management system that controls access to keys and high-value assets, logs every transaction, and alerts your team when something is overdue or out of place.
Every removal and return is recorded with a full timestamp and user ID. That log is always current, always accessible, and ready for any compliance review or internal audit without any manual entry or reconstruction from memory.
Every system ships with KeyPro III, which manages user profiles, access permissions, automated reporting, and email alerts for overdue keys. HSS configures the software to your operation before installation so your team isn’t figuring it out on their own.
Cabinet modules are available for standard keys, large key rings, Folger Adam keys, access cards, and individual lockers for weapons, tools, and other secured assets. Start with what your facility needs today and add capacity as your operation grows. HSS has managed that process for clients at every scale.
Not every facility needs a touchscreen or cloud-connected software. The KeyWatcher Illuminated is designed for operations where reliability and simplicity are the priority: correctional facilities, municipal buildings, auto dealerships, and EMS fleets where the key management system needs to work on day one and keep working without intervention. It runs on standard AC power with a 48-hour battery backup, operates fully offline, and its rugged stainless steel cabinet is built to hold up in demanding environments. When HSS installs your system, we’re not done when the cabinet goes on the wall. We configure it to your access rules, train your team, and stay available for the life of the system.
What’s the difference between the KeyWatcher Illuminated and the KeyWatcher Touch?
The Illuminated uses a keypad interface and operates as a fully standalone system, no network required. It’s the right choice for facilities that want proven, no-frills key control that just works. The KeyWatcher Touch adds a 7-inch touchscreen, TrueTouch software, KeyAnywhere multi-cabinet returns, and deeper enterprise integration options. HSS will walk you through both and help you land on the right fit.
Does HSS provide ongoing service after installation?
Yes, and it’s one of the things that separates HSS from other dealers. We offer ongoing maintenance programs, on-site technician support, and priority scheduling to keep your system running year after year. If something needs attention, we send someone out. We don’t hand you a support line.
How many keys can a KeyWatcher Illuminated cabinet hold?
Capacity depends on your module configuration. The 16-key module holds the most keys per slot, while 8-key and 6-key modules accommodate larger key rings and Folger Adam keys. HSS works through your specific key inventory before recommending a configuration, so you’re not over- or under-specced from day one.
Can the system send alerts when a key isn’t returned on time?
Yes. Overdue key alerts can be programmed to trigger an audible alarm at the cabinet and send automatic email notifications to designated managers. You define the rules: which keys, which users, and how long before an alert fires. HSS sets this up during configuration
