RFID Exit Prevention
Prevent asset loss, protect high-value items, and maintain oversight with Hoffman Security Solutions’ (HSS) RFID AssetTrack technology.
AssetTrack from HSS is a passive RFID-based tracking system that prevents sensitive keys and tagged portable assets from leaving your facility. Using maintenance-free, battery-free RFID fobs and readers at key exit points, it delivers real-time audible and visual alerts to stop losses before they happen. Paired with our KeyWatcher electronic key management systems, it creates unified protection for both keys and assets—ensuring your standard operating procedures are enforced.
AssetTrack and KeyWatcher work together to create a single, traceable platform for managing both keys and portable assets. For casinos, this integration safeguards compliance by ensuring sensitive keys never leave your facility. In corrections, it helps facilities maintain full oversight of keys, radios, and weapons, reinforcing accountability and officer safety. Gaming industries benefit from real-time monitoring of sensitive keys and the enforcement of standard operating procedures. By tailoring control to the demands of each industry, HSS delivers security and efficiency where it matters most.
Our team configures AssetTrack to match your facility exit doors, places readers at strategic access points, and adjusts the sensitivity of the readers to your parameters. With no software to install, battery-free fobs, and minimal maintenance requirements, you get a high-ROI solution backed by our ongoing local service and expert support, keeping your security system running smoothly and meeting compliance standards day after day.
How does AssetTrack work?
Assets are tagged with RFID labels and fobs, and readers placed at exits detect when tagged items pass through, triggering visual and audio alerts. AssetTrack configures these systems to ensure accurate detection, fast notification, and and enforcement of your standard operating procedures into your overall security process.
What types of assets can be tracked?
Anything portable and high-value—from key sets and radios to laptops and tools—can be managed through the AssetTrack system, ensuring secure oversight and traceable movement for every item.
What are the benefits of passive RFID over active RFID?
AssetTrack is a passive RFID system, which means that the tags/fobs don’t have an internal power source (battery) and the readers are constantly reading/looking for tags. Active systems tags/fobs have a 2 -3 year life span. Tags require testing to know if they are still alive.
What is required for installation?
We use a Power Over Ethernet (POE) for the data and power supply. You would be required to provide the data drop and power to each reader installed.
